We Are Sorry? UP Gangrape Victim's Death Sparks Outrage Making Us Question Women Safety
After Nirbhaya gang rape, there was nationwide protest with people demanding strict laws. When we were thinking that things won't get worse, we heard the news of a veterinary doctor from Hyderabad gang raped, murdered and burned by a group of man. Adding to this list of another inhuman act is the latest incident that happened in Hathras in UP. A 19-year old woman, who was allegedly gangraped by four men, died in Safdarjung hospital in Delhi. The cruelty of the incident was such that the victim had multiple injuries and her tongue was cut.
While people are busy discussing Rhea Chakraborty's character, involvement of Bollywood in drugs, many important issues are being missed. The whole country is in anger and the victim's brother confirmed that no arrest has been made till now.
This is how Bollywood celebs reacted:
? Sad sad day. How much longer can this be allowed to go on .. #Hathras

Over the years, women have been screaming their harassment stories. The strict rules have been bade but seems like nothing changed on the ground. The country where women are considered Laxshmi ka roop is now becoming the place where ladies have to think twice before stepping out of their house.
All we can say is SORRY.
